Teaching Chess and Life- Discuss a Quote

Carlos Capellan lived in a neighborhood where drug dealers whistled at people and handed off small packages. Many people in the neighborhood were mostly inside the house and would hurry up to pick up their children.  Carlos went to a gang-infested junior high school and wanted to stay out of trouble. So, Carlos joined the chess club and met his mentor/coach, Jeremy Chiappetta, as he was learning about chess and become more matured; he join the U.S. Amateur Team East. He was winning and become very happy but Chiappetta pulled him and taught him about sportsmanship. After his lesson, he became more responsible and was honored. Now, he wanted to become a mentor to other like Chiapetta was a mentor to him.

One quote that i like of this story was "One of the most influential people in my life is my former chess coach and current boss." Because its tells me that anyone could be a mentor to anybody no matter who they are.
